ALS was founded in 1988 as a classical company for transshipment. Therefore, transshipment is one of our oldest services which we consider as our core competence. With our 7 crane units on 2 quays in Duisburg parallel port we are able to use all traffic carriers: ships, railroads, and trucks. ALS offers double railway siding on both sides of the premises. The Rhine in close proximity, a handling facility projecting over the water, and crane capacities of up to 45 tons allow virtually all possibilities of transshipment. Whether LCL (less than container loads), such as big bag or pallet goods, containers or coils and sheets: The equipment and know-how for all this exists at ALS.   Yet, our competence in transshipment doesn't end in Duisburg but spreads into the seaports thanks to our reliable partners.
Activities in transshipment and logistics chains regarding the "magic triangle" Antwerp - Rotterdam - Duisburg, for instance, are organised and coordinated from Duisburg.
